13 bands at the Competition Review, three stars at the Gala Concert and dozens of exhibitors at the fair - this is the recipe for a magical journey to the Land of Gentleness
Extraordinary musical emotions were offered at the VIII Polish Festival of Poetic and Tourist Song "Przy Kominku" organised on November 29 and November 30 the Targi Kielce Congress Centre. The festival competition was the arena for 13 bands from all over the country. The performers' skills were assessed by the jury panel which comprises musicians, composers, producers, guitarists and other personages associated with the music milieus. The jury was composed of, among others inter alia Jerzy Krużel. Piotr Frankowicz. Leszek Osterczy. Janusz Deblessem and Andrzej Mochoń P - President of the Management Board of Targi Kielce. The evaluators were faced with a difficult task.
The first place and 1500 PLN sponsored by Unimax was presented to Roman Tkaczyk and his band from Mikołajki. The second place winner was presented 1000 PLN founded by Kielce Waterworks - the 4razywroku was the competition runner up. Third place and the 700 PLN cash prize from the Regioszulki went to Piotr Zubek from Warsaw. The third place and the prize from Outdoor Zones - 700 PLN went to the MuzyKuny band from Jelenia Góra and Grodzisk Mazowiecki. Irena Salwowska with the band from Wroclaw were bestowed the Grand Prix and 2000 PLN funded by Targi Kielce as well as the special prize of the Student Song Magazine "Mikroclimat" of Polish Radio Rzeszów. The special award of the Wołosatki band in the amount of 2000 PLN went to 4razywroku. The special prize named after Grzegorz Pecel was granted to the MuzyKuny.
The audience could also vote for their favourite bands. The Audience Award and PLN 1,000 founded by The city of Kielce was granted to Piotr Zubek from Warsaw. The award also went to the duo - Lenda / Kozub from Swidnica for innovative interpretation and expression as well as to Zbigniew Żuk from Brwilna for the composition.
The first day of the festival culminated in the Integration concert in the "7 rooms" club - the Grzane Wino (the laureate of the audience award of Przy Kominku 2018) and Jerzy Filar were performing.
The Gala concert featured invited guests: the Kielce Smoke Sellers and Friends band. There was also the band which has been active for 32 years - All the best from Bydgoszcz and poetic folk band the Tri-City - Mice & People.
The Targi Kielce Congress Centre foyer abounded with other attractions - there were the 25 stands with the Christmas Market as well as the Vinyl and CD Exchange. Exhibitors presented, ceramics, beautiful handicrafts, handmade jewellery, crocheted mascots and tasty Świętokrzyskie delicacies.
The "Przy Kominku" Festival artistic level increases every consecutive edition.
