BRIDGES FOR REGIONS - AN IMPORTANT CONFERENCE HELD WITHIN THE SCOPE OF THE AUTOSTRADA 2019 EXPO

The Road and Bridge Research Institute meets the local governments’ expectations and supports the Ministry of Investment and Development’s initiative by organising the "Bridges for Regions" Conference. The conference commences at 13.00, on 14 May 2019 at the Targi Kielce.

International trade fair for infrastructure -i.e.   AUTOSTRADA POLSKA  have always been the place to hold important industry meetings. This year, the AUTOSTRADA POLSKA expo is also accompanied with the utility vehicles trade fair  ROTRA, infrastructure expo  TRAFFIC-EXPO - TIL and Europarking Exhibition. All events are held from 14 to 16 May  at the Kielce exhibition and congress centre

The Bridges for Regions - the important government programme implementation has now begun. The Bridges for Regions main objective is to complement the local road infrastructure with bridges, wherever such bridges are needed.

The conference organisers stress and highlight the fact that the session is designed to share the knowledge, demonstrate scientific and technical aspects related to bridges design and construction.

The government's programme scope includes construction of the 21 structures; these new bridges are particularly important to provide a comprehensive and uninterrupted road network at the communes, poviats and voivodeships level.  This therefore requires the pre-conditions identify when planning the bridge construction, such as the road type, load bearing capacity, size of the bridge construction etc.  Well-designed engineering structures are adapted to local conditions. Durability and economic capabilities determine the technologies selection.
