The conference of the Road and Bridge Research Institute continues
The "Bridges for Regions" conference is held on May 14, 2019 in the Beta conference room at the Targi Kielce Conference Centre. The Road and Bridge Research Institute meets the local governments’ expectations and supports the Ministry of Investment and Development’s initiative by organising the "Bridges for Regions" Conference. The meeting relates to the most important issues for the industry What is most important in the process of bridge design and construction - Janusz Rymsza, the Deputy Director IBDiM - Durability of bridge structures is the most important. (...) You have to talk about permanent and robust solutions. If you have to cross an obstacle of 20 m, the span length may be 30 m, but it cannot be 200 m. It is not a problem to build such a bridge. However the local government will have a huge problem with maintaining this type of facility in the future. - adds Professor Rymsza.
