The free cytology check up is available for the Świętokrzyskie Province residents age 25 and 59 who have not had this examination in the last 36 months. This is a part of the Population Programme for Prevention and Early Detection of Cervical Cancer. All women who take advantage of this programme receive gifts which befit ladies. And also if they come up with the most interesting slogan which encourages other women to undergo the exam - they can be also awarded with household appliances. The specialist vehicle has been designed and made for the "Be a conscious woman - support for cervical cancer prevention in the Świętokrzyskie region" programme implemented by the provincial oncology centre; the programme enjoys with the support of European Funds under the Regional Operational Program foe the Świętokrzyskie Voivodship years 2014-2020. Inside the cytology bus, there is a midwife's office equipped with a gynaecological chair and the necessary equipment. There is also intimate hygiene room equipped with a bidet and running water. A patient can undress and prepare for the examination there. The vehicle is heated, air-conditioned, equipped with a sliding step to make it easier to go inside the office. From April to mid-December 2018, over 2,000 women benefited from this form of cervical cancer prevention.
