One-week stay of the delegation of Targi Kielce began the last day of May.

Among those who flew to Shanghai from the capital of Świętokrzyskie are also local authorities, universities, Kielce and regional media representatives.

Targi Kielce is the city’s favorite at EXPO 2010. Kielce authorities hope to attract to our region a division of new investors, but most of all exhibitors, who by their stay in Kielce also contribute to Kielce’s dynamic development. Promotional slogan is: “Kielce gateway to Europe”.

Delegation representatives present not only the advantages of urban schools and Targi Kielce, but also distribute CDs with Frederic Chopin’s music and albums about Poland, prepared specifically in Chinese language.

The exhibition in Shanghai is the largest project of its kind in the 160-year history of the event. The big opening was attended by the presidents of China Hu Jintao and France Nicolas Sarkozy and European Commission chief Jose Manuel Barroso. Polish pavilion uses the motif of folk cutouts. It is estimated that national pavilions from nearly 200 countries – from the United States through Germany to South Korea and Iceland will be visited by as many as 70 million people within 6 months of the EXPO 2010.
