The third edition of the Installer of the Year competition held within the scope of ENEX expo is now over! The five teams fought for the title. The following companies took the podium: PV System, Helios Power, and the winner - SunSol from Gdansk. Team members decided to donate the prize to charity
The first stage of the competition saw the following companies: SunSol, Heliospower, PV System, Photovoltaics System, Elektrosolar. Each stage level was very even. Each of the teams showed great commitment and preparation.
- We have again promoted good practice during the Installer of the Year competition. We are proud because the teams that have been very involved. Great knowledge and experience were demonstrated - we were pleasantly surprised with the professional equipment each team had. For us, each team is a winner - says Paweł Wiktorowicz from Corab.
The second stage - Heliospower versus Sunsol
In the finals Heliospower from Radom and Sunsol from Gdańsk were struggling. Teams employed completely different ways of realising the task simultaneously.
- At this stage, we wanted to show the need to measure insulation resistances and pay attention to the elements that installers sometimes forget about, for example, the appropriate length of protective conductor - says Bogdan Szymański, President of the Photovoltaic Industry Association.
A few traps awaited the participants. Teams had to mount AC and DC protections and connect to the inverter. They also had to select the appropriate protection and other components.
What did the finalists win?
The 3rd place - the PV System received the Corab construction for a 3kW installation. Heliospower, the runner up was presented the Corab construction for a 3kW installation and the Rennsteig tools distributed by Fastons. The first place winner - Sunsol received a complete 3kW installation and a professional assembly of this installation made by Globenergia. Sunsol - the Installer of the Year pleasantly surprised everyone by declaring that the prize along with the assembly will be donated for charity. In addition, the commission honoured PV System for making the fewest errors made.
