The most beautiful birds will fly to Kielce from all over Poland

Kielce exhibition will be the showcase of almost 2 thousand most beautiful birds from all over Poland

The exhibition will gather almost 2 thousand of bird exhibits brought from all over Poland.

On 11th 12th December 2010 Targi Kielce will be the venue of Świętokrzyskie Exhibition of Pedigree Pigeons and Decorative Poultry and the 41st District Exhibition of Carrier Pigeons. 200 exhibition stands will be the showcases for 1800 most beautiful bird exhibits of 100 breeds, and among them the visitors will have the chance to admire crowned pigeons, marvellous spatuletails, show kings, rock doves and man others. The bird owners are the breeders associated not only in Świętokrzyskie breeders’ associations but also in other regional associations.

The exhibition will be the place to see 670 carrier pigeons. Among these birds we will be able to admire the pigeons which have taken part in international races since 2008. In a race the birds cover the distances of 1200 kilometres between Ostenda or Brussels and Kielce.

The event has also attracted the breeders of pedigree rabbits. In Poland there are about 70 rabbit breeds with the precise breed standard description defining how an individual of a specific breed should look like; the colour of claws, type of hair cover and its elasticity and colour, the length of ears, weight, monthly body weight increase. The pedigree rabbits are tattooed and then can be presented in an exhibition.

The pigeon exhibition is one of the most attractive events of this kind in Poland. Świętokrzyskie region has become famous on a national scale for its best breeding farms and experts’ professionalism. This is the very place where the most popular breeds have been created. Kielce district is the second largest district in Poland with respect to the number of breeders with as many as 2400.
Kielce Association of Pedigree Pigeons and Decorative Poultry and Kielce division of Polish Association of Carrier Pigeons are the co-organisers of the exhibition.
