Unparalleled Targi Kielce

Construction of the Congress Centre is the biggest investment in the history of Targi Kielce. The constitution contract worth 16 million PLN net has been signed today (Thursday 16th December) in Kielce by Targi Kielce President of Board Andrzej Mochoń and Zygmunt Pucharski the President of Budecon, the prime building contractor, whose reference list contains Inter IKEA Centre Group and many other.

Targi Kielce modernization and development worth 170 million PLN net has been so far the only project for which EU contract has been concluded in the framework of Action III.2. for tourist, fair and congress infrastructure development.

- Similar projects are to be realized in Lublin and Ostróda, however those projects are in the initial phase and the total cost of the two investments is less then 100 milion PLN – says Targi Kielce President of Board Andrzej Mochoń.

Having analyzed the list of individual projects of the Development of Eastern Poland Operational Programme for the years 2007 – 2013 published by the Ministry of Regional Development we can rightly say that the Development and Modernisation of Targi Kielce Project is unparalleled. – The only projects which require greater financial expenditure are the road construction projects and public transport network modernisation projects. Kielce Congress Centre situation is analogous. Projects of similar or higher project value are carried out mainly by universities which build campuses and equip their laboratories with very expensive, professional equipment.

The results of the Congress Centre construction tender were announced on 25th November 2010. Budecon S.A. won the tender and outperformed other bidders, which can be referred to as giants of the sector: Mostostal Warszawa S.A., Polimex-Mostostal S.A., Eiffage Budownictwo S.A. or the company which has its headquarters in Kielce - Przedsiębiorstwo Budowlano-Usługowe Dorbud S.A.

BUDECON S.A.:

• Has operated on Polish market of construction services since 1995,
• The company’s field of operation; facilities of diverse uses, and among them industrial, service and trade facilities, housing estates
• The company disposes of over 100 employees and among them 26 building construction supervisors authorized to act as independent building specialists
• The company disposes of their own warehouse and hardware base. This resource base makes it possible to build all kinds of large scale facilities and provide installation and finishing

- Targi Kielce Congress Centre, owing to non-standard solutions will serve numerous functions. Mobile walls and movable auditorium will make ot possible to organise really big events like congresses, concerts, conferences or smaller seminars and also exhibitions in cosy atmosphere or vernissages. The building will host over 1000 people. There is also an underground parking space planned. The construction will launch in 2010 and the facility is planned to be completed in June 2013. one of the construction elements of the Congress Centre will be a 57 metre high viewing tower with a banquet room – explains President Andrzej Mochoń

In the development project span of Targi Kielce two modern halls and service terminal equipped with a digital system of exhibitors and visitors registration have been built since the middle of this year. Exceptional acoustics of one of these halls makes it a perfect venue for great events for which special conditions are required. In August the opening of the hall was marked with a television show prepared in this venue; a music and dance show featuring international ballet stars and Polish music stars. Concerts, congresses and other events for 4000 people can be held in this venue.
