TIWS 2009

The Trade Fair for the Water and Sewage Industry TIWS will be held for a period of three days, on 5-7th October.

An important event to accompany this fair is a conference on “Subsidies for Projects to Be Implemented As Part of the National Municipal Sewage Treatment Programme”. This conference, organized by the Discussion Forum of the Wodociągi Polskie company, will be held on 6th October, at 11.00-14.00 hours, at Targi Kielce.

The participants will have an opportunity to learn about the availability of interest rate subsidies, in addition to being offered guidelines on preparing relevant documents. The list of issues to be addressed also includes the application process for priority programmes and tender procedures for selecting the bank and concluding an agreement. There will also be a debate on the practical value and usefulness of interest subsidies, including loans and bonds. The newest forms of subsidies will also be presented, e.g. limited recourse subsidies, security and effectiveness thereof in view of the budgetary restraints at the level of local authorities as stipulated by the Law on public finance.

During this trade fair, an agreement will be concluded between the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Warsaw and the Wodociągi Kieleckie company. The subject of this agreement is financial support for the project "Comprehensive Protection of the Underground Water within the Kielce Urban Conurbation”. This project constitutes part of the priority "Water and Sewage Management of the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment 2007 – 2013”.

The exhibition will be accompanied by numerous events aimed at industry professionals.
