THE ACADEMY OF FINE ARTS PRESENTS REAL CURIOSITIES AT THE 3D PRINTING DAYS

The latest work of the 3D printing laboratory at the Faculty of Interior Design of the Krakow Academy of Fine Arts is a complete reconstruction of the central nervous system with the cancerous tumour located at its base. The aim of the segmentation (reconstruction) activities is to help neurosurgeons of the Krakow Specialist Children's Hospital in the brain stem cancer analyses. 

With the world-class 3D printers and software supported with certificates, the laboratory has developed the medical imaging reconstruction specialisation. It has already carried out 42 reconstructed for hospitals’ patients across the country.

The 3D Printing days is the showcase for many other interesting things we have not heard before.
